Great news! The FHFA announced that they will no longer require a 50-basis point refinance fee for loans delivered on and after August 1st. Effective immediately, the 50-basis point adverse market refinance fee on all new locks on and after 7.16.21 will no longer apply.
So, the cost to refinance just went down.
